Product Information Rigid PVC Fixing Strip – White Our range of rigid PVC fixing strips are, typically, attached to the our D and B fenders before fitting to provide additional strength, as well as acting as a continuous washer. This serves to prevent the fixing screws from pulling through the body when under pressure. These strips are crafted from a phthalate-free, UV-stabilised, and 100% recyclable compound. Easy to Install with Fenders Firstly, we recommend lining up the end of the strip approximately 1.8 metres from the bow. Line up the fender with the gunnel, then drill and secure with self-tapping screws every 225 – 300mm. Pull the fender around the bow fastening as you go around. Butt up the next length and fasten in the same manner. After the fitting is complete, do not trim the ends for 3 – 4 days to allow for any shrinkage.
